This short guide provides the steps for students to access and adjust the microphone volume settings on their Chromebook.

- In the Quick Settings panel, locate the volume slider (speaker icon).
- Click the right arrow (>) next to the volume slider. This will navigate you directly to the Audio settings.
🎤 Adjusting Microphone Volume
- The Audio settings screen displays options for Output (Speaker) and Input (Microphone).
- Under the Input section, you will see the Microphone (internal) setting with a volume slider underneath.
- To adjust the sensitivity (volume) of your microphone, click and drag the volume slider.
- The default or ideal volume for most devices is generally around the middle of the slider.
Tip: Adjust the slider while testing your microphone in a meeting or recording to ensure your voice is clear and not too loud or too quiet.
