Using Conversations

Conversations:

Conversations are 2-way communication with staff, parents and students within the app. There are options for individual conversations, group messages, and bulk private messages,

  1. Navigate to Conversations in the dashboard, or find the button in the mobile app.
  2. Click New or Send Bulk Private Message to proceed
    1. New
      1. Title your conversation
      2. Select whether you want the conversation to be publicly joinable (we suggest leaving this unchecked always to manually control the participants of the conversation)
      3. Select your Participants. You can find the following in the list:
        1. Individual contacts for staff members, parents, and students
        2. Target list contacts with prebuilt groups for your classes
      4. Click the + next to a group in the Participants list to expand the list and allow you to remove individual members from the conversation.
      5. Create the conversation and start messaging
      6. All participants in the conversation will be able to post messages and view all messages in the conversation
    2. Send Bulk Private Message
      1. Select your Participants. You can find the following in the list:
        1. Individual contacts for staff members, parents, and students
        2. Target list contacts with prebuilt groups for your classes
      2. Add your message and attachments
      3. Click "Send Messages" when ready
      4. The app will send each person in the participants a private message with your content so that they can reply back to only you
