Posting News:

  1. Login to the App Dashboard or to the Edison Local Wildcats App on your phone
  2. Select Mass Communication in the dashboard or Create News in your app
  3. Name your message
  4. Choose your Channels. Our suggestions are:
    1. General posts sharing non-critical information only use the App channel (These might be pictures of stuff done in class, or weekly updates, etc.)
    2. Important information can also use the Text and Email options to ensure non-app users also receive this information (This might be a critical update about testing or a fieldtrip etc.)
    3. Please use your best judgement in using these options to not overwhelm parents with unnecessary information
  5. Click Continue
  6. Select your targets
    1. For App targets, select your News Category to post to and the Roles you want to see the post
    2. For Email/Text targets, find the target lists you would like to send to by searching the schools target lists. (This should be the name of one or more of your classes)
  7. Click Continue
  8. Compose your message. 
    1. Most messages can be composed once for the first Channel and the information will automatically go to the other channels. But please check that your other channels all look good before proceeding
  9. Click Continue
  10. Review the summary and optionally schedule your message
  11. Click send when ready
